Fraud Rounds: Where Science Goes Wrong

I shared those and other stories at Medicine Grand Rounds at Weill-Cornell here in New York, discussing the work of , which I co-founded with Adam Marcus in 2010. Among the themes of my presentation, which you can find :

  • Retractions are up 17-fold since 2000.
  • Journals with high Impact Factors -- including the New England Journal of Medicine -- tend to have a higher rate of retraction.
  • Of the 30 researchers with the most retractions, just three are women.
