Fred Pelzman, MD
Fred N. Pelzman, MD, is an associate professor of medicine at Weill Cornell, and has been a practicing internist for nearly 30 years. He is medical director of Weill Cornell Internal Medicine Associates, the faculty practice for physicians & NPs and the outpatient training site for internal medicine residents. Pelzman runs the Primary Care & Hospital Medicine Innovations Program, and he is medical director of the nonprofit Pelzman Foundation for Healthcare Innovation. Pelzman earned his MD at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine and completed his internship and residency at UCSF.
He has published in several medical journals, including recent research on use disparities in telehealth visits & effective community outreach interventions to encourage COVID vaccination. His weekly MedPage Today column, “Building the Patient-Centered Medical Home,” focuses on improving patient care.
